J.E. met her local Healthcare Navigator, Brenda, in November of 2023. Brenda guided her through the process of applying for the Polk Healthcare Plan, and within two weeks she received her healthcare card. One week after getting coverage, J.E. needed emergency surgery, followed by a lengthy hospital stay.
“I feel so happy to have coverage,” J.E. shared with us. “My hospital stay was covered and I’m so thankful.” Now J.E. encourages others where she lives to reach out to a Navigator the way she did. “Brenda was so helpful and made the process very easy. You never know; it can save your life.”
