Mauricio's family recently had a baby who was covered by Medicaid. They wanted to transition her to a Florida KidCare plan, but when Mauricio tried to do the online application on his own, the website was was very difficult to navigate. He tried to call, but could never get though a representative. He felt his only remaining option might be to go in person.
Then he learned about the Family Healthcare Foundation's navigator services. He reached out and was put in touch with navigator Eva Villas. She stayed on the phone with Mauricio for nearly two hours and walked him through the entire process. To this day she is still in contact with him to support the family's transition to their new plan. Mauricio is thankful that his child got the coverage she needed thanks to Eva's expert guidance navigating the system.
